Diplomacy: I've been playing this game for a long time and basically think it is the best game ever designed. Credit for that goes to Allan Calhamer who first published the game in 1959.

Diplomacy is a boardgame of strategy and intrigue for seven players, where random chance plays no role. The game uses no dice, no cards, and no drawing of lots beyond the distribution of who is to play what power. It is you versus the other players, with tactics, strategy, cunning, negotiation and persuasion your primary tools for winning the game. Each player controls one of the seven major powers at the start of the twentieth century: Austria-Hungary, England, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, or Turkey. No one player has sufficient power to win alone, and yet cooperation is rife with risk, since nothing a player says during negotiations is binding. By negotiating alliances and treaties with the other players, each player seeks control over Europe, balancing trust and suspicion, loyalty and ruthless backstabs.

You can play the game on a board the traditional way, or on one of many play by email sites. In fact the game is very much suited to being played by email. The sites below are the ones I frequent the most. I not only play, but run, many games on the Diplomacy 2000 site.

 My favourite Diplomacy site.

The ultimate source of Diplomacy information, strategies, maps and guides.

A fellow Diplomacy player, GM and funnily enough also interested in tropical fish. Lots of information on Diplomacy and Tropical Fish.

Cottage Crafted Candles: Refillable, Glowing, Decorative & Hand-Crafted Candles. The candles are unique with no two candles being identical. They are either small or large global candles with a wide range of glowing colours & a variety of decorations

XBOX:. I play under the gamertag "Jaqual".
